Denise Phua on motion celebrating Olympic and Paralympic achievements
As Singapore strives to become more inclusive, it is time to "change the game" to achieve parity in sports, said MP Denise Phua. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 5), she said the conversation should shift from one of "disparity" to "equality". She urged the Government to re-imagine, review and widen not only the high performance disability sports system, but also inclusive sports participation. Sports should be accessible, inclusive and prevalent, she said. Â
