54:38 Min

The Ministry of Education (MOE) seeks to provide practical support to help children learn better behaviour, give parents confidence in schools' responses, and enable teachers to maintain caring and enabling learning environments for all students, said Education Minister Desmond Lee. Replying to parliamentary questions on Tuesday (Sep 23), he said MOE has been conducting a comprehensive review of bullying since early 2025. It is now conducting external public consultation on four key areas - strengthening the school culture, environment and processes; giving greater emphasis to values education; providing more resources and support for schools and educators; and enhancing school-home partnerships. Mr Lee said MOE is considering the suggestions received and aims to release its recommendations in the first half of 2026.
