Energy Market Authority looks to ensure new capacity, meet demand
As demand for electricity grows, the Energy Market Authority (EMA) wants to ensure there’s new electricity generation capacity. It also wants to maintain the reliability of Singapore's power system. To meet future electricity needs, EMA is inviting the private sector to build, own and operate new Combined Cycle Gas Turbine units. Three hydrogen-ready units are planned to be ready by 2032, under a request for proposal. Nasyrah Rohim reports.
