Fare discounts, more bus services, usage-based pricing on the cards to manage congestion

Singapore's transport minister has pledged to deliver better outcomes for all Singaporeans, capping what he described as a "challenging year" - his first in office. In an interview, Mr Chee Hong Tat told reporters that the Government is not done building and growing the sector. He outlined efforts to make trains less crowded and underscored the rail system's reliability. He also spoke about plans to launch more bus services and trips to improve connectivity. Meanwhile, air travel and Singapore's sea ports are expected to set new records in the coming year. Nadirah Zaidi and Alexandra Anand report.
