Hany Soh on Coastal Protection and Other Amendments Bill

02:50 Min

In parliament on Friday (Mar 6), MP Hany Soh spoke in support of the Coastal Protection and Other Amendments Bill and sought several clarifications from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. She wanted to know how extensive national water agency PUB’s consultations were with the roughly 30 per cent of the private owners or lessors of Singapore's coastal line. With the government itself implementing the coastal protection measures for the 70 per cent of coastal line it owns, she also wanted to know if the PUB has considered extending economies of scale to these private owners or lessors.
