06:09 Min

More must be done to improve not just the employability of seniors but also the quality of their employability, said MP Henry Kwek in Parliament on Monday (Nov 1). He called on the Government to fast-track new employment models for workers aged above 60, such as micro-jobs and job-sharing. He also suggested that the Manpower Ministry put together a panel of medical experts to advise various sectors on how long professionals with specific skills - for instance, surgeons and pilots - can safely work for. Mr Kwek added that anti-ageism clauses should be included in impending legislation against workplace discrimination.
