Iran threatens to retaliate against Gulf ports if US blocks Strait of Hormuz
Iran has warned that no port in the Gulf or the Sea of Oman will be safe, if US President Donald Trump delivers on his threat to block traffic to and from Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has called the move illegal and labelled it as piracy. Washington said forces will target ships that have made arrangements with Iran, including the payment of transit tolls. Vessels transiting to and from non-Iranian ports will be allowed to clear the Strait. Mr Trump comes after weekend peace talks in Islamabad did not yield a deal. Mitch McCann reports from New York.
