The mobile phone of Workers' Party MP Sylvia Lim has not been hacked by Singapore state agencies, said Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam. He said this in Parliament on Friday (Feb 18), in response to Ms Lim's request for confirmation that her phone has not been hacked, after stating that she received a warning from Apple that her iPhone could be under threat of hacking by state-sponsored agencies. Mr Shanmugam said MPs are "high-value targets for foreign agencies" and requested to see the specific notification from Apple to Ms Lim. He said all MPs are "potential targets", adding that "we would like to get to the bottom of it", as to who was trying to get into her phone.
