Low Yen Ling on local manufacture and assembly of ART kits
Six companies are seeking to manufacture or assemble antigen rapid test (ART) kits in Singapore. The Ministry of Health and Health Sciences Authority are evaluating these applications. Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling gave this update in reply to an MP's question in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 2). She said the applicants indicated that the kits will be manufactured or assembled locally. Once approved, they will be able to apply for existing grant and loan schemes that the Trade and Industry Ministry and its statutory boards provide to support companies with their plans for local manufacturing.
