Malaysia's former armed forces chief charged with abuse of power, criminal breach of trust

The Malaysian military in the spotlight again, with another former army general charged with corruption. Mohd Nizam Jaffar pleaded not guilty to four charges, including two counts of abuse of power and one count of criminal breach of trust involving almost US$1 million. Nizam assumed the top job in the military last January and was due for retirement later this year when he turns 60. If found guilty, he can be jailed up to 20 years for abuse of power and criminal breach of trust, as well as fined five times the amount. Melissa Goh reports from Kuala Lumpur.
