Micron to create 1,600 jobs with S$30b Singapore chip plant

US memory chipmaker, Micron Technology, is set to create around 1,600 jobs in Singapore with a major expansion at its Woodlands site. The company is investing more than S$30 billion over the next decade in a new double-storey wafer fabrication facility, the first of its kind in the country.
