Motion: Hamid Razak on reinforcing Singapore’s position as a global transport hub
If Singapore is to remain a leading global transport hub over the next few decades, its human capital strategy has to evolve with its infrastructure strategy, said MP Hamid Razak in parliament on Tuesday (Jul 7). He called for a more integrated national transport talent strategy, bringing together government agencies, industries, Institutes of Higher Learning and SkillsFuture partners to regularly identify emerging skills, develop future-ready curricula, and expand internships and overseas industrial attachments. This will ensure that Singaporeans are well-positioned to take on high-value jobs that will emerge in the transport sector and anchor good jobs in the country, he added.
