Motion: Jackson Lam on reinforcing Singapore’s position as a global transport hub

Singapore’s future will be determined by whether it becomes a place where technology, talent, trusted institutions and world-class infrastructure come together to create a transport ecosystem of the future, said MP Jackson Lam. Speaking in parliament on Tuesday (Jul 7), he stressed the need for Singapore to become not only a leading aviation and maritime hub, but also the world's most intelligent, trusted and innovative transport hub. This will create better jobs for Singaporeans, strengthen economic resilience and reinforce the country’s position at the heart of global trade. Mr Lam outlined three priorities for Singapore - become the world's smartest transport hub through AI and data, aspire to be a transport innovation hub and invest strongly in its people.
