Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim on repair and maintenance of HDB rental flats

03:52 Min

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) inspects occupied rental flats annually to identify those that need repair or maintenance. This was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. As safe management measures are progressively lifted, HDB has been working to resume periodic inspections and prioritise inspections based on the age of the flat and the profile of tenants. Minister of State for National Development Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim said this in reply to an MP's question in Parliament on Wednesday (Nov 9). He said he would share the details on the revised approach when they are ready. Meanwhile, tenants can continue to alert HDB on repair or maintenance issues, he added.
