Murali Pillai provides clarification to Louis Ng on Maintenance of Parents (Amendment) Bill
In Parliament on Tuesday (Jul 4), MP Murali Pillai - a member of a workgroup proposing to amend the Maintenance of Parents Act - offered clarification to MP Louis Ng on questions he had raised during the debate on the Bill. This was to do with Mr Ng’s concerns about the participation of the child in proceedings when parents with a history of abandonment, neglect or abuse apply for permission to seek maintenance.
