Nadia Ahmad Samdin on supporting Singaporeans in starting and raising families
Encouraging more families to have children is critical to Singapore's future, said MP Nadia Ahmad Samdin. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Feb 5), she pointed out that parenting can be overwhelming and called for more avenues for parents to lean on for support, such as community circles near their homes. She stressed the need to provide the space to raise families and asked if the government could explore different ways of supporting young couples who wish to live near their parents. She also asked if the government could consider building more 3Gen flats for families to live under one roof.
