06:04 Min

Play is being celebrated around the world as we mark the International Day of Play today (11 June). It highlights every child’s right to play and the role of play in learning, well-being and social connection. In Singapore, that idea is taking centre stage at this year’s Children’s Season. The Children's Museum Singapore is marking the occasion with a host of play-based programmes - from drop-in activities to a weekend carnival. This year’s edition of Children's Season also uses play to introduce children to sustainability through storytelling, games, craft and hands-on workshops. Glenda Ng shares her insights on the importance of play. She’s Senior Manager of Audience Engagement at the Children's Museum Singapore.
