Online child exploitation: 435 suspects, including 21 in Singapore, nabbed in raids across Asia
435 people have been arrested for suspected involvement in online child sexual exploitation activities. This, after a five-week cross-border operation involving police forces from Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. Officers conducted raids at 269 locations, seizing 84 computers and over 300 mobile phones and tablets. 21 were arrested in Singapore for their suspected involvement in offences ranging from sexual communication with a minor to distributing child sexual abuse materials.
