Palestinian PM Shtayyeh submits resignation of entire government

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has announced the resignation of his government, saying "new political measures" are needed due to the "unprecedented escalation" of conflict in the West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza. This comes amid growing US pressure on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to stop the fighting in Gaza by working on a political structure to govern the besieged enclave after the war.
