PAP unveils its new central executive committee; Lawrence Wong officially elected secretary-general

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has been officially elected secretary-general of the ruling People's Action Party (PAP). PAP unveiled its new central executive committee lineup on Dec 4, comprising 12 members who were elected at last month's party convention and six who were co-opted. Mr Wong takes over the party leadership from Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Mr Lee stepped down as secretary-general after 20 years at the helm.
