Singapore needs a clearer strategy if it is to give the best support to its sporting talents and excel on the world stage, said MP Poh Li San in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 5). She suggested focusing on up to four sports for which to create multiple development pathways, as well as seeking out young talent early and ensuring they are given the flexibility to juggle their sporting and academic commitments. Ms Poh also called for more to be done to make community sports and fitness a way of life.
