Rahayu Mahzam on age verification and restriction measures by app stores
The Code of Practice for Online Safety for App Distribution Services published by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) will take effect on Mar 31 to reduce the risk of exposure to harmful content for users. IMDA will continue to engage app stores over the next few months on their implementation plans. It will assess if their plans meet the requirements under the Code. Minister of State for Digital Development and Information Rahayu Mahzam said this in reply to an MP’s questions in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 18).
