Rahayu Mahzam on warranties for repair and replacement of assisted devices
The Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund and Assistive Technology Fund provide eligible seniors and persons with disabilities with means-tested subsidies of up to 90 per cent for assisted devices, including motorised mobility devices and their replacement parts and repairs. Clients who need greater assurance can purchase the devices from vendors who offer warranties that ensure repairs and replacements are completed within the stipulated time. Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam said this in reply to an MP’s questions in parliament on Friday (Feb 28).
