02:30 Min

Seven new MRT stations on Singapore's Thomson-East Coast Line -- from Tanjong Rhu to Bayshore -- will begin passenger service on 23 June. This means around 235,000 households will be within a 10-minute walk from an existing TEL station. In 2026, more stations will open in Bedok South, Sungei Bedok and Xilin. They include an interchange connecting the Thomson-East Coast and Downtown lines. Meanwhile, the North East Line will also be extended, with Punggol Coast Station set to open by the end of this year.
