Sharael Taha on Courts (Civil and Criminal Justice) Reform Bill
The Courts (Civil and Criminal Justice) Reform Bill will make legal proceedings more accessible to everyone by simplifying the language used in the courts and support Singapore's overall digital transformation plans, said MP Sharael Taha. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Sep 14), he said it will also keep Singapore's legal system efficient and ready to meet the evolving needs of society. He stressed that clarity in the legal process should not be compromised for the sake of conveniences afforded by the use of technology.
