Singapore and Australia to deepen ties, expand cooperation to new areas
Singapore and Australia will mark 60 years of diplomatic ties next year. They are working towards deepening their relations and expanding cooperation to new areas. At a meeting in Singapore today, ministers from both sides called for ambition as they embark on the next phase of the two countries' Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Meanwhile, both countries will explore ways to increase access to each other's defence facilities, and Australia will invest about S$65.5 million into a Singapore initiative to support decarbonisation and sustainable infrastructure across Southeast Asia.Â
