03:36 Min

Singapore households will pay more for electricity and gas from July to September this year. The electricity tariff will go up by 17%, or 4.64 cents, to 31.91 cents per kilowatt-hour. It's the highest since July 2022, according to data by SP group. Gas tariffs will rise by 1.56 cents to 23.48 cents per kilowatt-hour. The Energy Market Authority said this is to reflect the rise in fuel prices from the Middle East conflict. More than a million Singaporean households living in HDB flats can expect to receive up to S$190 worth of U-Save rebates and up to a month of Service and Conservancy Charges rebates in July.
