Singapore's central bank to trial issuance of tokenised government bills next year
The Monetary Authority of Singapore will trial the issuance of tokenised government bills to major banks next year, and the settlement of these transactions using Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). This comes after a successful trial earlier this year, when three local banks tested overnight loans among them using a digital Singapore dollar. Nasyrah Rohim reports.
