South and Southeast Asian leaders are in Thailand this week for a trade and security summit, with US tariffs and the Myanmar earthquake likely to top the agenda. This is the first BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) summit to be held in person since 2018.
