Pasar malams in Singapore turning to new products, social media to draw customers

The traditional open-air night market, or pasar malam, is seeing some novel products — such as top-grade matcha, seafood buckets and even perfume. More stalls are also turning to social media to market their goods. As for some shops selling customary items, rising rental and overheads continue to eat into their profits. Alif Amsyar reports.
