Analysts expect cooling measures to be reviewed as property market shows signs of stabilising
Analysts expect Singapore's property cooling measures to be reviewed, as market conditions are set to soften further this year. Full-year HDB resale price gains eased to 2.9% in 2025 — the smallest increase since 2019. For the first time since 2020, prices also stayed flat in Q4 2025. Meanwhile, private home prices inched up 0.6% in Q4 2025. This brings the full-year increase to 3.3%, softening from the 3.9% growth in 2024. Analysts are also expecting the private property market to cool further in 2026, on the back of more project launches and lower interest rates. Eugene Chow reports.
