02:56 Min

Logging in to Singpass could soon be safer and simpler. A new passkey option will let users verify their identity using fingerprint or facial recognition, instead of keying in passwords that can be stolen or phished. GovTech said the move is aimed at protecting users from emerging cyberthreats, while keeping the login process convenient. iOS users will get access first, while the option will be rolled out for Android and desktops in the future.
