Bedok, Bukit Panjang and Tiong Bahru-Redhill designated as Age Well Neighbourhoods
Three more estates with a higher senior population will receive community health services, home assistance programmes, as well as amenities. Bedok, Bukit Panjang and Tiong Bahru-Redhill are set to get more support under the Age Well Neighbourhoods (AWN) programme. The health initiatives enable seniors to age independently within their communities. AWN was first launched in Toa Payoh last year, and over 110,000 seniors are set to benefit in the four areas, with all the upgrades to be introduced by next year. Muhammad Bahajjaj reports.
