Sun Xueling on allegations surrounding suicide of Sgt Uvaraja Gopal

Minister of State for Home Affairs Sun Xueling highlighted this point in a speech in Mandarin in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 6), as she outlined the key points raised by Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam in his ministerial statement on allegations surrounding the suicide of Sgt Uvaraja Gopal. She said the investigations found that most of the allegations, such as ill-treatment, bullying and unfairness, were false. Where the complaints were substantiated, appropriate actions had already been taken, with the errant officers taken to task. Ms Sun also highlighted ways in which MHA ensures the well-being of officers and fosters a culture that values and respects diversity at the workplace.
