Sun Xueling on keeping primary school students safe from child abuse and domestic violence

Students are taught personal safety to safeguard themselves against abuse in an age-appropriate manner. They are also given pointers on how they can seek help if they are in distress due to abuse and domestic violence. Teachers also monitor the well-being of students and look out for those who are at risk of such abuses. Minister of State for Education Sun Xueling outlined the various ways primary schools raise awareness and ensure the well-being and safety of students, in reply to an MP's question in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2).
