Terror attack foiled: 17-year-old detained for stabbing attack plan in Tampines neighbourhood

Singapore was on a knife's edge of a terror attack, after a teenager plotted to stab as many as he could in a Tampines neighbourhood. But he was arrested just weeks before he could execute his plan. The 17-year-old student is a staunch supporter of Islamic State. He was detained under the Internal Security Act due to the extent of his radicalisation. Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam says that compared to past cases, this one came the closest to being carried out. Alif Amsyar reports.
