Ukraine says it has finalised terms of mineral deal with US

Kyiv is set to authorise a landmark minerals deal between Ukraine and the US later today. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said both countries have prepared a final version of the agreement, following reports that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would meet his American counterpart Donald Trump on Friday to sign off a significant chunk of Ukraine's resources to the US. Mr Trump has said that the deal would give Kyiv "the right to fight on". Mr Robin Niblett, a distinguished fellow and former director at Chatham House, shared more about the significance of the deal.
