Technology must move forward but the true measure of progress is whether it brings the people forward, said MP Yeo Wan Ling. Speaking in parliament on Tuesday (Jul 7), she stressed the need to do more than create the industries of tomorrow - by redesigning the jobs of tomorrow, making work safer, more productive and meaningful while keeping workers’ needs and livelihoods at the heart of every transformation. To make re-imagination happen at scale, Singapore must invest in its workforce with the same determination it had invested in its land, aviation, maritime and logistics infrastructure, she said.
