Public education on nuclear energy will cover advancements in technology and why it can now be done more safely, the potential benefits for Singapore’s energy security and climate efforts, and capabilities being built to make a considered decision on deployment and if so, manage it safely. Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology Tan See Leng said this in parliament on Thursday (Nov 5) in reply to an MP’s question. He also spoke about what is known of progress in regional rollouts.
