Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) 2030 will focus on contributing to Singapore’s economy and national priorities, and ensuring the country’s research capabilities and talent remain globally competitive. This is through new, large-scale, cross-cutting RIE flagships and grand challenges. They will focus on research and innovation that can drive outcomes in major economic sectors and key national strategic priorities. RIE 2030 will seek to attract top and upcoming researchers, while nurturing local talent across research, engineering and innovation domains. Deputy Prime Minister and Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong said this in parliament on Thursday (Feb 26).
