Alex Yeo on Road Traffic (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill
Resetting driving habits and reshaping road behaviours - that is what a new road safety bill seeks to do, said MP Alex Yeo. Its amendments provide greater clarity on what constitutes safe and responsible driving, apart from removing evidential hurdles to enforcement. If Singapore succeeds in this, said Mr Yeo, then most of the provisions in the bill may rarely have to be executed at all. He spoke in parliament on Tuesday (Aug 4).
