Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 2: Lee Hong Chuang on Total Defence
Singapore has always emphasised on Total Defence and values technology as a force multiplier, said MP Lee Hong Chuang, who expressed his support for these directions. Speaking in parliament on Friday (Feb 27) he sought clarification from the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) on four areas. Among them, he wanted to know how MINDEF will establish clearer cooperation frameworks with other key agencies. He also wanted to know how MINDEF ensures that technological development synchronises with operational concepts and asked about the kind of talent structure that is needed for the future.
