In ‘Destination Anywhere’, Melanie Oliveiro finds out where – at Bugis Junction shopping mall – Singaporeans and Singapore residents can go to play a Chinese New Year-themed game called “Where Prosperity Blooms” and while doing so, pledge their support for a greener Singapore. Alex Chan from electricity provider and retailer Geneco will talk more about the significance of their #WhereProsperityBlooms campaign and how they worked with partners such as the Garden City Fund, Marshall Cavendish Education, and SG Recycle to bring it about. Chan will also tell listeners where they can go to recycle their hongbaos or red packets – via Geneco’s Used Red Packet Recycling Initiative which this year spans an islandwide network of over 250 collection points.

In ‘Culture Club’, Melanie Oliveiro finds out how Tanoto Art Foundation has opened its inaugural exhibition, “Rituals of Perception” in conjunction with Singapore Art Week – an annual celebration of visual arts which takes place in the month of January. Tanoto Art Foundation’s artistic director Xiaoyu Weng will talk about how their exhibition will feature over 20 artists – most of the millennials. She’ll also explain how the exhibition will be accompanied by weekly programs, including performances, discussions, and docent tours. Indonesian-New Zealand artist/dancer Sriwhana Spong will talk about premiering a new performance of hers, which is part of her ongoing research.

In ‘Made in SG’, Melanie Oliveiro finds out about Singapore Youth Film Festival (SYFF) 2026 – youth hub *SCAPE’s flagship film platform celebrating emerging local filmmakers and fresh cinematic voices. The festival’s director Shivvani Jegatheesan will describe how SYFF has evolved from The National Youth Film Awards into a full festival platform, and how initiatives like the Film Facilitation Programme support young filmmakers from script to screen. Jegatheesan will also highlight some of the SYFF films for listeners, as this year’s programme features 44 nominated short films, and will also highlight the SYFF Cinema & Talks events. Nurain Tan, director of “Tanggung Jiwa” talks about her film which is about how a mother Jamaliah struggles to reconnect with her teenage daughter, Aliyah. Director Miguel Tuason talks about “The Rider” a colourful drama-thriller animation film about disgraced superheroes.
