Speaking in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 25), he said Singapore has made some measures compulsory, such as masks and safe distancing. Now that Singapore has a "weapon" that fights the virus, it should be conditionally "opt-out" rather than "voluntarily opt-in", he said. He added that it is only when the virus is controlled that the bold moves of Budget 2021 can bear fruit.
