Globally, coral reefs are being lost at alarming rates. Scientists estimate that half of them have already disappeared and 90 per cent could be gone by 2050 if temperatures continue to rise.

It's difficult to grasp how far reaching these consequences can be on ocean health, the economy and on our food supply. The loss of these coral reefs can hurt us in the long run.
