COE prices for motorcycles hit record high of S$11,589 as premiums close mixed

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices closed mixed at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday (Sept 21), with the premiums for motorcycles reaching a record high of S$11,589.

This surpasses the previous record in that category set in March earlier this year, when premiums hit S$11,400.

Premiums for small cars (up to 1,600cc & 97kW) or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW went down by 2.33 per cent to S$84,000.

Large cars (above 1,600cc or 97kW) or fully electric cars with output over 110kW saw premiums go down from S$113,000 in the previous bidding exercise to S$108,051.

Meanwhile, goods vehicles and buses saw COE prices go up by 3.1 per cent to S$67,001.

Finally, in the open category, which can be used for any types of vehicles except motorcycles, premiums went down by 5.38 per cent to S$107,201.
