Man falls to his death, woman with stab wounds found at Novena Suites

SINGAPORE — A double death occurred Saturday night (Oct 22) at a condominium in Novena.
A man fell to his death from an apartment block at Novena Suites at about 7pm, some four hours before a woman believed to be his wife was discovered with stab wounds on her torso in a bedroom of a 13th floor unit at the same block.
Police have identified the man and woman as Wang Chan Foo, 46, and Ng Soo San, 44, respectively and classified the cases as unnatural deaths. Investigations are ongoing.
TODAY understands that Wang and Ng had been living apart for two years and were undergoing divorce proceedings.
Wang had rented a home at Novena Suites along Moulmein Road, while Ng was staying in their matrimonial home in Toa Payoh.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to an incident at 6.55pm. When the SCDF arrived, Wang was sitting on a balcony ledge. While a safety life air pack was being set up, Wang fell.
It is understood the police tried contacting Ng to no avail. The authorities subsequently forced entry into Wang’s condominium unit and found Ng lying motionless in the bedroom.
Neighbours interviewed by the police said they did not hear any unusual noise from the unit before the deaths. Residents whom TODAY spoke to said they heard a loud thud around 7pm on Saturday.
One of them saw a body lying on a second-floor parapet. Others only noted that Wang had been seen driving in and out of the condominium in his BMW.
The couple left behind a daughter, 13, and a son, 7, who were not present when the deaths occurred, TODAY understands.
