SINGAPORE: Eligible households with monthly household income per person not over S$1,600 (US$1,202), who received a notification letter in December, may redeem their Public Transport Vouchers (PTV) using the SimplyGo app.

In a joint press release on Friday (Jan 12), the Ministry of Transport and People’s Association said that the vouchers from the 2023 PTV exercise may also be redeemed at SimplyGo kiosks, top-up kiosks, assistance service kiosks, SimplyGo ticket offices or ticketing service centres.

The vouchers are valid until Mar 31, 2025, they added.

The PTVs, worth S$50, were announced by the Government to help lower-income households cope with the public transport fare adjustment that took place from December.

The 2023 PTV Exercise, similar to previous years, was carried out in two stages.

In the first stage, completed in December 2023, more than 24,000 households, which received a voucher in the previous year’s exercise and continue to meet the income eligibility criteria, had received notification letters on their PTVs.

They may follow the instructions found in the letter to redeem the vouchers.

The second stage will run from Jan 15 to Oct 31, 2024.

The agencies said: “Households that meet the eligibility criteria but did not receive a voucher in the first stage can apply for the PTVs online at  www.go.gov.sg/ptv or in person at their local community centres/clubs (CCs).”

Residents may approach their local CCs for any queries, said the agencies.
