Air India crash: One year on, families still seeking answers

03:11 Min

One year since the deadly Air India crash in Ahmedabad, families of victims are still waiting to find out how the tragedy unfolded. All but one of the 242 people on board Flight 171 were killed, as well as 19 other people on the ground. It was the world's first and only fatal crash involving a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. A preliminary report had found both engines were starved of fuel shortly after takeoff. The accident investigation body said significant progress has been made in the examination analysis of aircraft systems, flight recorder data, engine-related components, maintenance and operational records. But the final report has yet to be released, leaving families in limbo.
