Alvin Tan on impact of Dream Cruises and Genting Hong Kong winding up

The Ministry of Trade and Industry is closely monitoring the impact of the winding up of Dream Cruises and Genting Hong Kong on Marina Bay Cruise Centre and Singapore's cruise industry. Singapore remains an attractive cruise hub for many cruise lines, given its year-round tropical climate and strong market potential. The Singapore Tourism Board is in discussions with other cruise lines on their interest to resume sailings from Singapore. Minister of State for Trade and Industry Alvin Tan said this in reply to a Parliamentary question on Friday (Feb 18).
